해외 여행을 하면서 유명 편집샵에서 발견 할 때마다 꼭 들쳐 보았던 그 브랜드..
골든 구스를 모를 시절 컨버스와 비슷한것이 뭔가 빈티지하게 리폼된 건줄 알았는데,
알고보니 이탈리안 브랜드였다니!

DESIGNER BIO.

Derek Lam International, LLC was founded in New York by Derek Lam and partner Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann in October 2002. Lam, a native of San Francisco, began his fashion career in 1990 after graduating from Parsons School of Design. Lam spent twelve years at the highest levels of American fashion as a designer at Michael Kors before starting his own label. In 2006 the collection expanded to include handbags, followed by shoes and eyewear in 2007.

Lam's vision for his label is to create clothes that are both luxurious and wearable, with a feminine but unfussy beauty about them. His touch is especially sophisticated: modern but never cold, fantastical but always rational. He skillfully manages the combination of refinement and sensuality, with exceptional fabrics and highly perfected detail. He strives to make fashion that is timeless in its elegance: to offer one clear example, Lam is known already for cutting the most perfect trench. "I am interested in what it means to live a contemporary life," says Lam. "I always consider what will work for women at this moment, and to me this moment is about luxury without formality. Even at their most feminine, my clothes are not precious or staid."
Lam has received abundant recognition within the fashion industry. He won the CFDA Perry Ellis-Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Womenswear in 2005, and was a winner of the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Prize in 2005. In 2007, he won Accessory Designer of the Year at the 2007 CFDA Awards. His work was exhibited at the Kennedy Center's "The New China Chic" exhibition in 2006, London's Victoria and Albert Museum's exhibit of significant New York fashion, and The Museum at FIT's Gothic: Dark Glamour exhibition in 2008. His deep engagement and creative dialogue with the worlds of art and architecture led to the inclusion of his design in the Neue Galerie's monograph on Egon Schiele, whom Lam considers an inspiration.
In June 2011, Lam presented his first ever diffusion line "10 Crosby Derek Lam" named after the address of the Derek Lam International, LLC headquarters in downtown Manhattan. The collection launched in stores for the Resort 2012 season.

                DESIGNER NAME: Richard Nicoll

                BACKGROUND: Richard was born in London and grew up in Australia. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins MA in 2002, Richard has gained experience including freelance consulting alongside Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton and Creative Director of Womenswear at Cerruti. With his own label, he has been awarded three ANDAM prizes (2008), named Best Young Designer at the ELLE Style Awards (2009) and twice shortlisted for the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. He received NEWGEN sponsorship for four seasons (SS06 - AW07).

                컨셉

                Our brand is a tribute to the Mod subculture, which originated in England, in the late 60s.
                This movement was created by a generation of youths with a deep passion for fashion, music and motor scooters, seeking freedom and independence.
                Since then, the term Mod has been used over the years to generally describe anything that was believed to be popular, fashionable or modern.
                “Moving and learning” was the maxim.
                Encouraging modernity without forgetting the past, was the concept where these young precursors found their inspiration and which today fuels energy and creativity to Modfitters.
                Style, innovation and tradition are our daily inspiration.
                The result is visible in the classic fitted styles, bright colours and refined details, summing up a collection quite “modernist”.




                Modfitters thus revisited the chino concept, working on the fit, the wash, the color with a particular care for micro-details to allow the highest level of personalization and that “dwelt” treatment that characterize the apparel of the contemporary generation.
                The trend is clear: chinos are the new jeans, and Modfitters’ ones combine versatility and attention to the style in a single product, which represent a trendy and dynamic alternative to classic denim.
                The infinite color range and the attention to appealing details such as the glossy spade button, the frontal removable chain and the logo-printed interior, mixed with an original vision of a trendsetter item like trousers, makes Modfitters line the expression of a “neomodernist” movement which combines style, innovation and roots.

                Overlooking the Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, the view from the studio of new knitwear label Piece d’Anarchive is perhaps as historic as the city gets. Virginie Muys and sisters Déborah and Priscilla Royer happen to be the kind of cool young things who appreciate a time-honored sensibility, and managed to persuade one of the only remaining luxury knitwear factories in France to produce their line last year. “We like the idea of bringing different worlds together,” said the designers, explaining that their pieces are one part traditional craftsmanship, one part rule-breaking anarchy. The latest collection, for example, takes the warrior-ready silhouettes of Mad Max and sprigs them with delicate flowers; hence the floral jacquard and shimmering Lurex knits with studded collars and removable leather insets. With a combined background in fashion design (Priscilla worked for Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label) and event production (Virginie has produced events for Diesel, Maison Martin Margiela, and Viktor & Rolf), they’ve long had their finger on the pulse of the city’s most stylish milieu—indeed Virginie has even been known to DJ across the pond, at New York–by-way-of–Paris hotspot Le Baron.    -VOGUE
